Dear Parishioners,
Greetings in His Love!
The month of February offers us all in the Church the Holy Feastdays...Presentation of the Lord into the Temple and Saint Haralambos. Offer your love to God and to beseech His Blessings abundantly. What a gift to us all. We are also mindful that the Sacred Period of the Triodion as well as the Saturday of the Souls for our departed loved ones. We also mark the beginning of GREAT and HOLY LENT on Clean Monday, February 27th with PRAYER, WORSHIP and FASTING.
As we now find ourselves in 2012; let us focus on our SPIRITUAL LIFE...Worship, Fasting, Confessions and our daily prayers to our Lord and Savior. I ponder the fact how many people “CHOOSE” to worship at Church once or twice a month. We, as Orthodox Christians, should not be choosing when to come to Sunday Liturgy. We should be IN CHURCH as God’s people. How dare we choose when we should worship. It is our sacred responsibility to worship weekly at least. What do you think God feels about your worship?
It’s a small, wonderful, round world we live in. Why not bless this world and curse the devil rather than cursing the world and blessing our devilish ways and selfish habits. Allow the blessing to go round and round and not the social lies and ill words of despair. True Orthodox Christians proclaim the Good News! True Orthodox Christians rejoice in the works of the Church. True Orthodox Christians uphold His Teachings of love, respect, honor and truth. Be Orthodox Today!
